Kaloscope 3.0 Compare
Kaloscope 3.0 Preview is a DINOv3 ViT-B/16 that learns a 256D style embedding, with a new v1 artist classifier over 44,129 Danbooru artists (2.0 knows 39,261). Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you upload leaves your device. The first run downloads the models (about 170 MB for 3.0, 295 MB more for 2.0) and caches them for next time.

Pick a query image and some reference images (for example, a few pieces by artists you suspect). References are ranked by cosine similarity of their 3.0 style embeddings to the query.

Caveats and credits
Scores are uncalibrated softmax outputs with no "unknown artist" option, so a confident score isn't proof of who drew something. The two models were trained and evaluated differently, and the model card says their accuracy numbers can't be compared directly. Style similarity is a cosine between L2-normalized 256D vectors; use it to rank, not as a probability. Images are center-cropped to a square (512 px for 3.0, 448 px for 2.0), so very tall or wide images lose their edges.
The browser copies are 8-bit weight-only quantized ONNX exports, hosted at Mooshie/kaloscope-web. On test images they pick the same top artist as the full-precision models. Models by heathcliff01; 2.0 comes from the ONNX export in DraconicDragon/Kaloscope-onnx. Kaloscope 3.0 is under the DINOv3 License.
